Sustainable pathways towards net zero Switzerland
SPEED2ZERO is a Joint Initiative of Switzerland’s leading institutions in environmental research and applications. The consortium has members from ETH Zürich, WSL, EPFL, Eawag, PSI, and Empa. The project is supported by the ETH Board.
It was created to provide scientific insights, scenarios and tools to support Switzerland in moving towards net-zero emissions, providing a resilient energy infrastructure while allowing for the country’s biodiversity to regain some of its richness.
It does so through continuous dialogue with stakeholders, connecting research with policymakers and practice to provide evidence-based findings that help with handling some of the underlying trade-offs.

The SPEED2ZERO Summary brings together the key, practice-oriented findings of the Joint Initiative.
Five central questions guide readers through selected findings from the various research areas and translate these into recommendations for decision-makers in politics and business.
